Who We Are Palaestra, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1994 to provide home education families with quality enrichment classes at an affordable rate. Classes are held on Fridays at His Church Anglican, 34500 Six Mile Rd., in Livonia. Palaestra is a decidedly Christian organization. Biblical standards for life and conduct are encouraged. The Palaestra Board of Directors seeks to maintain a Christ honoring atmosphere, and strives to adhere to a biblical standard of ethics in business. Snow Days Should we decide to cancel classes due to snow, it will be announced on the local television stations. It will also be announced by the scrolling marquee on the website. |

Hello Parents and students. My name is Ms. Lazenby and I am feeling very blessed to be with you this school year. I am a mother of six beautiful children, a grandmom of 10, and a great-grandmom of 4. My greatest enjoyment in life has been parenting, so I am going to enjoy having the pleasure of educating your lovely children. I obtained my Dental Assisting - Dental Instructing experience from Wayne Community College. My experience with other children was through operating my own Childcare for over 13 years, 9 of which were in Anchorage Alaska. The age group was from birth - 12 years, with teaching emphasis on numbers and letter recognition. I am excited to share the knowledge and skills I have gained. Delorean Brumfield will be co-teaching with me this year. She brings her tutoring experience and love of math, science and literature. We are both looking forward to this opportunity.
