Oregon Trail -Adventures in History 4-6th

In this class, we will be exploring the Oregon Trail and how it relates to Westward Expansion, the Gold Rush, and other events of the times. This will be a unit study style class. Through class discussion, reading and writing assignments, activities and videos, we will learn about the treacherous journey people of the time were willing to undertake and why they would choose to go. There will be a book assigned to be read over the semester, as well as writing and other homework activities to be completed outside of the classroom.
