Young Thespians ages 8-11

For ages 8-11

Come explore the world of the Theatre! We will use a play to learn the basics of acting, blocking, characterization, and dialogue memorization to prepare the play for performance. No previous experience is required. Students will audition for roles; all students will receive a role to play.

Attendance is critical to maintain assigned roles.

Instructor Bio:

Patsy has taught at Palaestra since 2002. She has her BA from the University of Michigan in Speech/Communications and Theater and her MA from Eastern Michigan University in Drama/Theater for the Young. She has been a teacher in the Theatre Arts since 1988. She owns the Shoe-String Theatre Co, LLC and has taught drama classes and workshops in local schools and at the Livonia YMCA. She also has her CDA for Early Childhood Development and was a Music Teacher at the Livonia Montessori School.
