Small Fry Singers/ Ages 8-14

Calling all singers! This group of young people (ages 8-14) will sing a variety of music - Disney, Broadway, Sacred and Classical music in a fun, encouraging and creative environment! No previous experience necessary!

The goal is to feel comfortable singing and have fun at the same time. Music games will reinforce rhythm, pitch and music theory.

Each student will also learn the basic skills of singing including pitch, tone and breathing through repertoire the students enjoy!Â

We will prepare for two concerts - one at Christmas and one at the end of the year!Â

Instructor Bio:

Mrs. Kurche has been enjoying home schooling her two children - Ella and Kyle for five years. She is originally from Toronto where she studied voice and piano at the University of Toronto as a child. She came to Michigan state to study music therapy. Mrs. Kurche has two music degrees - elementary music education and music therapy. She worked as a music teacher at a private school before her kids were born. Mrs. Kurche also works at a local music store teaching piano and voice. She enjoys sharing her love of music to students of all ages. In her spare time, Mrs. kurche enjoys reading, sewing, going for walks with her dogs and rehabbing small mammals particularly, squirrels!
