Math Games

I want your kiddos to love math and have fun learning!

In this year-long class, we will use class time to play fun math games and activities that will introduce or reinforce 1st and 2nd grade math concepts.

Worksheets will also be used to solidify math skills.

Topics will begin in the first semester with single- and double-digit addition/subtraction, place value, skip counting, comparing numbers, working with shapes, and telling time.

Second semester will build on these concepts with multiple-digit addition/subtraction (including regrouping), interpreting word problems, working with money, and measuring.

Instructor Bio:

Hello Parents and students. My name is Ms. Lazenby and I am feeling very blessed to be with you this school year. I am a mother of six beautiful children, a grandmom of 10, and a great-grandmom of 4. My greatest enjoyment in life has been parenting, so I am going to enjoy having the pleasure of educating your lovely children. I obtained my Dental Assisting - Dental Instructing experience from Wayne Community College. My experience with other children was through operating my own Childcare for over 13 years, 9 of which were in Anchorage Alaska. The age group was from birth - 12 years, with teaching emphasis on numbers and letter recognition. I am excited to share the knowledge and skills I have gained.

Delorean Brumfield will be co-teaching with me this year. She brings her tutoring experience and love of math, science and literature. We are both looking forward to this opportunity. GET READY TO LEARN AND SHARE! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
