  Illustrating - Art
   
  

In this class, students will work in various areas of illustration.  Depending on their interests and what area of illustration students are drawn to, they will have the opportunity to learn character design, how to design greeting or game cards, create a logo, and create narrative or book illustrations.  They will also learn how to upload their designs to websites that would allow them to create merchandise with their designs.

  Instructor Bio:
  Sophia Pomponio recently graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She majored in illustration, and she plans to pursue a career as freelance and children’s book illustrator. As a student, she attended Palaestra for many years and throughout her college career has taught classes there as well. She is very excited to continue to teach there and share her love of art with the students.
