  Hands In Clay
   
  This is an introduction to the wonderful art medium of clay for the young person. Through guided lessons, students will learn basic construction techniques; coil, slab and hand sculpting. We will explore the use of texturing tools and embellishing techniques. Most of the projects are designed to be useful pieces of art. Returning students will enjoy new projects and be encouraged to expand their creativity with any repeat projects. All clay, glazes and firings are included in the material fee.

  Instructor Bio:
  Autumn attended EMU in pursuit of an Elementary( k-8) Education Degree; one of her minors included Science. She has previous experience working with children elementary through Middle School aged in the public school districts of Garden City, Livonia & Ypsilanti. Autumn is the mother of two girls, one that has graduated, and one that attends Palaestra. She loves Science, arts & crafts and has years of experience in drama. She looks forward to teaching in all areas.
