Who We Are Palaestra, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1994 to provide home education families with quality enrichment classes at an affordable rate. Classes are held on Fridays at His Church Anglican, 34500 Six Mile Rd., in Livonia. Palaestra is a decidedly Christian organization. Biblical standards for life and conduct are encouraged. The Palaestra Board of Directors seeks to maintain a Christ honoring atmosphere, and strives to adhere to a biblical standard of ethics in business. Snow Days Should we decide to cancel classes due to snow, it will be announced on the local television stations. It will also be announced by the scrolling marquee on the website. |

| Mary Beth Lewis | ||
For over twenty years Mrs. Lewis has been actively involved in her church as worship accompanist on the piano, choir member, and children’s choir director. She taught General Music at a local Christian School while living in New Jersey, and currently teaches Intermediate Orchestra and Elementary Chorus at Oakland Homeschool Music, Inc. in Waterford, MI. She graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey with degrees in Psychology and Education. Mrs. Lewis moved to Michigan in the fall of 2005, after living in New Jersey her entire life. While in college, she met her husband, Ed, and they now live in Novi. She has homeschooled all three of their daughters. In addition to playing the piano and the violin, she enjoys rubber stamping, sewing, and reading. |
